Rightside teamed up with Driven Studio to document the transformation of the Jaquier Barn on the Laurelbrook Farm in East Canaan, Connecticut. The crew from Driven used Cabot's signature plaid from their Seriously Sharp Cheddar to give the barn a fresh look. The painting team, lead by renowned artist Abby Manock, transformed the barn in two days. Rightside was there to capture the overhaul with time lapse photography and video.
Partnering with Brandthropology, Rightside shot and edited a :30 spot that shows how a parent can take advantage of Champlain College's online learning program. Brandthropology came to us with the concept and left it in our hands to follow through with execution. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots that we have worked on.
Rightside partnered up with DC Shoes back in August 2010 for a shoot at the O'Neil Rally School. A couple videos from that shoot were released last week. DC founder and professional rally car driver, Ken Block, was on hand to teach several DC athletes how to drive a rally car.
For the past four years, Rightside has filmed and edited several hundred videos for Burtonology.com - Burton's retail training website managed by Sparc Retail. This year the videos are driven by their respective category product managers and sales reps.
Rightside worked with Brandthropology this summer to film and edit two :30 second spots for Champlain College's Continuing Professional Studies (CPS) program. Both commercials feature testimonials from local employers that work closely with the CPS program to hire recent graduates.
Rightside and Line teamed up again this year to create the 2012 Line Skis product videos. This past February we spent a week in Utah with the entire Line team. Alex O'Brien was shooting photos, Shane McFalls was shooting video of the action and Rightside was on point with athlete interviews.
The final episode of our East Cost splitboard web series launched in mid-July. It was a great end to the season on the East Coast and we were able to ride well into May. Keep your eyes peeled for a lot more from us this winter!
This past winter, Rightside teamed up with Burton Snowboards and the NSAA to film and edit a new version of Burton's Smart Style video. We spent two days filming on location in Vail, CO and three days in Jackson Hole, WY. The finished video will be used nationwide to assist in terrain park safety.
Rightside and Driven Studio teamed up to create these :30 animated TV spots for Cabot Cheese. Driven laid up the design and Rightside made all the pieces move. We combined these animations with the voice of Cabot's favorite athlete and mom, Julie Foudy.
DC Shoes hired Rightside to film the lookbook for their Fall 2011 Women's campaign. Shadowing photographer Danielle St Laurent, we shot our model showing off DC's Fall 2011 line. Rightside handed off the footage and DC took care of the edit. We are pretty excited with the final product.
LIFT's mission is to combat poverty and expand opportunity for all people. To help spread their message, LIFT came to Rightside to create an all encompassing informational video about LIFT Communities. With visits to their offices in Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington, DC we interviewed volunteers, site managers and every day people who benefit from LIFT's services.
The second installment of our East Coast splitboard web series launched at the end of March. The video was picked up by Snowboard Magazine, Transworld Snowboarding, ESPN, Frequency, TGR and several others.
We are two for two in making the finals! The 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown at the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival is a grueling three day event. There were fifty teams of filmmakers that had 72 hours to film and edit a three to five minute video within 100km of Whistler, BC. Nine of those teams made the finals. This year, Alex Adrian, Chris Zimmerman, Harrison Gray and Joe Gaetani put together Chairlift Time Machine.
The Studio shoe is sleek, stylish, clean and boasts the material technology of bounce suede. A shoe of this caliber deserves its story to be told. To help tell this story, DC Shoes worked with seven bloggers who brought the Studio to life through photos, video and the web. Rightside was hired to shoot interviews with each blogger as well as capture the feel of their respective cities.
