The man of many words, deep thoughts, and great music - John Beninghof - has been working with Rightside to create a couple music videos over the past few years. The first video is for the single, Float Sink or Swim, off his upcoming solo album. We shot the video over the course of two steamy days and cool nights on Cape Cod. Time lapse photography is an art form that takes patience, preparation, and persistence. It is a very powerful visual tool that can be used to enhance a story by showing the viewer something that the naked eye can not see. This short reel is the culmination of of almost 50,000 individual images. Enjoy!
Eric Pollard isn't just a great skier. He is also a very talented artist and has been designing the graphics for his skis for years. During the design process for his 2012-2013 skis, Eric setup the camera to capture his magic pen. Rightside and Line worked together to show Eric's process in creating the look of his signature skis.
With their new M1 technology, ultra low-profile frame designs, and innovative graphic styling, Anon Optics is on the cutting edge of snowboarding eyewear. Together, with Violette Design and Urban Rhino, Rightside acted as DIT for Anon's team shoot at RL Photo. Working with DP Nate Beaman, we shot the riders giving their best Blue Steel impression using the RED Epic.
Willie Racine's Jeep approached Rightside and challenged us to create a commercial that appeals to a local audience, but is consistent with Jeep corporate identity. We thought this was a great opportunity to utilize Vermont's natural beauty and show how there is a Jeep model for everyone.
Powder Magazine gave their Skier's Choice Award to three different models of Line Skis for the 2012-2013 winter. Needless to say, Line has their product on lock. In order to show off their offering to the masses, Rightside and Line worked together to create fifteen product videos for the third year in a row. Combining athlete interviews and action footage, these videos typically garner over 1,000,000 views throughout the winter.
Wanderlust is a yoga, music, and spirit festival with several stops throughout North America. This summer, Rightside worked with Ben & Jerry's to document their brand presence at the festival in Squaw Valley, California. Beautiful scenery, deep stretches, interesting people, and delicious Greek Frozen Yogurt. What more could you ask for?!
Manchester, Tennessee is a small town in Coffee county that welcomes in over 100,000 music lovers every summer for the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival - a modern day Woostock. Ben & Jerry's is a major sponsor of the festival and help promote it with their Bonaroo Coffee Caramel Buzz flavor. This year, Rightside and Driven Studio worked with Ben & Jerry's to create daily video at the music festival.
National Life Group's Montpelier headquarters was Vermont's largest commercial building when it was built in 1902. Over the years, it has seen a plethora of renovations - including adapting the building to achieve LEED certification. Most recently, NLG transformed the building's workspace from standard high-walled cubicles and fluorescent lighting to an open concept workspace with ambient light sources. Rightside worked with NLG throughout the overhaul to document the changes.
This year, National Life Group released a digital version of their annual report for the first time. Part of the appeal to a digital report is being able to add video content to supplement the text and photos. In total, we created eight videos that are embedded throughout.
