Viva la huck!
With beers, babes, sun and snow, its hard not to have a good time. Needless to say, Hike & Huck went off last weekend. For the past five years, New Hampshire's finest has put down the best late season event in the East and this year might have topped them all. The Loon Mountain Park Staff built an imaculate jump and were touting their new stair feature.
The event started on the jump by letting everybody warm up on the small side before unveiling the larger, perfectly shaped hit. The field was widdled down to twenty finalists - his and hers, snowboarders and skiers. The thirty minute final saw back nines, rodeo screamin' seamens, a couple injuries, plenty of hucking and lots of beer and sunshine.
After everybody stuffed their face with burgers and dogs, it was on to the stair set. The rails were hectic. Five or more people dropping at the same time lead to some near collisions, but in the end , several smooth slides were ridden out clean.
