Apple Bottom Jean Team
Boots with the fur. Reeboks with the straps. Or as the French would say - Initialisations avec la fourrure. Reeboks avec les courroies.
I had never heard of Mont Adstock until last Wednesday when Andy Parry and Will Wesson invited me to be their filmer/editor for the Red Bull Adstock Video Contest. If you are like me and have never heard of Mont Adstock, you should really make sure that changes. Adstock is near the mining town of Thetford Mines, Québec, Canada. When we arrived we were greated to 10 foot snowbanks on every corner. It was probably the most snow I have ever seen on the East Coast. The next morning we woke to sunny skies and mild temps. A quick drive to Mont Adstock and we laid eyes on one of the best and most fun looking parks I have ever seen. The people at Mont Adstock packed a perfectly pitched trail full of rails with two nice jumps mixed in.
The Video Contest: We had from 9 am until 3 pm to film wherever wanted on the mountain and from 3pm until 8 pm to edit. Seeing as it was 40 degrees and sunny, the filming went well. Come 3 pm I strapped myself down in the lodge only to have a couple hours of capturing difficulty. Once I finally coaxed my camera and computer into submission I only had 1.5 hours to edit our video. It came down to the wire but we got it done.
Like Andy and Will's skiing style, our edit was very unconventional. Instead of taking the over produced, high-def approach, we kept it loose fun and grimey. Check it out:
